My name is Shonta Harper. I love chocolate, watching movies with my husband at night, even though I always, ALWAYS, fall asleep. I am a mom to one, my sweet Emma girl. She is wonderful and I could go on and on about her! I have a degree in Elementary Education and taught, mostly third grade, for 7 years. Teaching made me a more rounded person, and gave me an added boost of patience. Since the birth of my daughter, Emma, I’ve given up teaching and am devoting myself to my family and my photography career. I love to photograph the things in life that mean the most to me… children… family… love…
Since becoming a mom, I’ve found myself photographing differently, more naturally, than before. I just want to look back and remember my own baby just the way she is, without being distracted by the pose or prop… I feel like I get a little more sentimental about photo shoots, and I believe it shows in my photos.
